I'm new here. I was diagnosed with Lyme last fall (20 months after a bull's eye) and I've been on an antibiotic treatment for a few months.
I have a question about what feels like "Hot Flashes": My face gets beet-red every now and then since starting the antibiotics. It's only my face. It comes and goes and stays about an hour. My skin feels hot and it is usually accompanied by a headache but I don't sweat. I used to get it once every week or two, but lately it's been many times a week.
I read that "flushing" can be a lyme symptom. I just assumed it was part of the Herxing process but I'm starting to think I might be going through early menopause! (I'm in my mid-thirties).
Does anyone else get this wth Lyme? Does that sound like Herxing?
Many thanks! C

Yes, I get this! I get it very often too, it is so annoying.
Actually thinking back this was one of my earlier lyme symptoms (but didn't know it at the time).
I went to a dermatologist thinking it could be rosacea after googling it.
The funny thing about it is that he told me he could put me on doxycycline to help it and I told him that I don't take antibiotics! Now I have been on abx. for 1 year and still going.

My flashes were from babs and bart. Once I treated these two infections the flushing stopped.
