Paul, the only knowledge I have is that I use both with some regularity. Subjectively, the sauna seems to cause more perspiration and seems more refreshing. Therefore, I use it more often.

Once concern -- especially in a men's sauna: GERMS! Sorry to say that mens' habits are not terribly hygenic...
