I had a bad experience with Levaquin and since then whenever I take an abx my cns is very irritated (I think the levaquin fried my cns). I plan to discuss with my neurologist but in the meantime I wanted to check-in here to see if anyone knows of an abx that is easy on the cns or is there such a thing? The ones I've tried so far are mino and biaxin.

What do you mean by irritated? Could they be reaching bacteria there and causing herxing?
Levaquin caused terrible cognitive herxing for me, but once I got through it, I had great relief.

When I swtiched to minocin 400mg in single daily dose, I got morning foot pains from that. I further read that minocin has been used for bart before. Minocin has a tiny or "mini" size to it, and penetrats the caps and bone better then the other tetras.

foot pain - especially on the bottom of foot - is a bart related symptom - when i am herxing i can't stand because of this pain
just my opinion here
