Well, my neuro called and said that the WB test I had was negative. Of course, she didnt tell me what bands did what, or anything like that. Its the third standard hmo test thats come back negative, ...so it obviously makes me wonder..do I or dont I have it?

I have over 95% of the symptoms..but Ive yet to have a definitive serology test. Ive had the high wbc, elevated csf, and I have fevers come and go...but not positive serology. Month after month the symptoms come and go, and almost always on a monthly cycle.

Ive still got more tests to run and waiting results from other tests last week, but its heading down the same old path...negative, negative, negative. Geez, its frustrating when the drs think its all just anxiety.

She said that she read my info I gave her (I provided a huge chunk of data on lyme and why I thought I had it), and she said that shes going to refer me to internal medicine, and a shrink for the anxiety...heh..

I saw a shrink once before, and all I did was frustrate her, and she frustrated me. My last mtg with the shrink ended with me walking out on her when she wanted me to sit and deep breath while I wanted to discuss what was going on in my brain and other parts of my body. After I asked questions and she didnt like my questioning her, she said, Im not going to answer anymore questions that you keep asking...so I said, well then, if you dont have anything to offer me, Im out of here, ...and walked out on the session after 10 minutes..

Sorry to ramble...just frustrated is all... Thank God for my wife and my family as they believe me, as they've witnessed the oddities come and go with me...

My July apptmt with a real LLMD cant come soon enough..!!

I would ask for a copy of that test. It would be relevant to know what, if any, bands came back positive.

Lyme is a clinical diagnosis .... if you have 95% of the symptoms, I'm guessing you'll get that diagnosis!

Hang in there, it will be a relief to see that LLMD. It's so nice when someone finally believes you.

All lab tests at hospitals and labs nationwide are not reliable!

You have to be tested through Igenex...bottom line.

To understand why..read this, both pages: http://www.ilads.org/basic.html

I had negative tests as well. Then when finally tested through Igenex - it was positive all the way.

Co-infections need to be tested, mainstream Md's do not even know what they are.

You have to understand that in the end seeing a lyme literate Md is of most importance because there are peole with negative Igenex tests. Lyme IS A CLINCIAL DIAGNOSIS, and a good LLMD can determine w/o any test.

If you have symptoms of LD...pursue it, please, see an LLMD.

DITTO!! You can't expect a crummy lab to come back with what is REALLY wrong.

Lack of a good lab = lack of a diagnosis

Keep searching!

I tested over and over (WB) with Mayo and they said negative too! Mayo is known for not being a "Lyme friendly" clinic..It was a BIG waste of my time and $1000 of $..I am very glad you are seeing a Lyme doc that is when your real healing will begin. I had 95% sx too and had to diagnose my self..keep beleiving in you gut!

Nope. Mayo docs ain't allowed to diagnose TBD's. If you really

must have a lab test (Lyme is dx'd clinically), IGenex in CA

would be a good place to get one done.

I just sent you a PM, btw, with the info of a WI LLMD who'd

probably be able to see you well before July.
