My doctor thinks I have esophageal thrush, as my oral thrush won't seem to go away, and no I have horrible burning chest pains unlike my usual rib wall pain. I'm allergic to difflucan, so that unfortunately is not an option. I have done everything possible (almost) to prevent this including daily probiotics, nystatin swish and swallow, nystatin pills, daily olive leaf, oil of oregano, Pau d'archo tea, troches, plain yogurt, tea tree oil tooth paste and mouthwash, eliminating all sugar and flour products from my diet...

I was originally pulled off my antibiotics for three weeks when this first happened in my mouth, then restarted after some sucessful yeast clearing. Now, I've been taken off the antibiotics again today. I'm so frustraited and scared that I'll relapse fully.

Help! Help! Help!

Have you checked out the Burrascano guidelines (2005 edition), page 30. Have you tried every one of these things including the Clorox mouth rinse ("for especially thick or resistant thrush").

My lyme doc used to have me brush the whole mouth with Listerine as Burrascano says to do, rinse with water, then open an acidophilus capsule and sprinkle it on my tongue and leave it there. Don't eat or drink. Let it replenish the mouth.

Also, I had to drink kefir daily in addition to daily acidophilus and a diet that was basically just meat and non-starchy vegetables and lemons.

Hope this helps.

There is a dr in Virginia who spoke at the last lyme conference about new anti fungals and I know personally that he is quite knowledgeable about candida and lyme. If you PM me, I can give you his info.
