Hello there,
I was just wondering if anyone on Biaxin has had any sun sensitivity. I just started taking it w/Plaquenil and with summer coming I just want to know how careful I need to be. Thanks!!

Hi laura, diana just started biaxin and plaquenil and she noticed before the meds that she seems to burn very easily, i mean in 20 min of being in sun. I am sure the abx wont help. they always cause photosensitivity. what dose are you on? have you noticed any side effects yet? linda

I'm on Biaxin now and haven't noticed anything. I was also on it before earlier on in treatment and didn't notice anything.
And I go to the park to walk as often as I can, so I'm in the sun then.

I was on Biaxin/Amox for over a year - no sun issues for me and that included a week vacation in Florida.

No issues for me either and I am out in the blazing sun all day long. (biaxin)

Thanks everyone. That makes me feel a whole lot better about being on it for the summer! I'm finally feeling a little better and last summer stunk b/c I was too sick to enjoy it so I would have been bummed if I couldn't enjoy this summer too.
