hey guys-

ive heard these are contraindicated in tx.

supposedly babesia drugs like mepron lower the amount of co q 10 in the body thus allowing the drug to kill the bacteria (babesia)

is this true and does it apply to herbs such as enula?

thanks

derek

Hi - I would be interested in hearing about this as well. I've read

not to take CoQ10 while on Mepron. I'm having bad heart

palpatations and want to protect my heart. Anyone know the

scoop on this?

Hi All -

I an not sure of the quality of this because I
dont remember the source -

But I think taking Q10 Lowers the
effect of Mepron ect -

Personally I did not take Q10 for
this reason while on Mepron ect -

Make sure to take Mepron with Fatty Food-
increases good effect -Jay--

I've heard the same thing, but don't where I read it. I would assume it applies to malerone, too, because it has mepron in it. Maybe, it was in Dr. S's babesia book I read it. I'll have to double check.

Enula is a wild card. There's not enough out there about it, not even from Nutramedix. I'm on it because I've had some bad reactions ot plaquenil and malerone. Weep all day/night. The days I don't take it, I'm more on an emotional keel. It takes about 1 1/2 days to clear my system.

Anyway try cryptolepsis? Buhner now recommends this over artimissin.

Before Dr. B retired, he told me do not take mepron with coq 10 because of the contradictions.

I am to start Mepron next week and just emailed this same question to my LLMD as I had also read it in a book, that CoQ10 was not advised while taking it. I don't talk to my LLMD until next week; but, it seems several of us have seen this.

I'm thinking, to be safe, I will just stop the CoQ10 while I am on the Mepron as I want maximum effectiveness of this really $$ drug.

I am hopeful I'll get some relief. My very worst symptom is my "plugged in" hyper nervous system; it's just awful. My LLMD attributes this to the babesia infection - hope I see some improvement, ugh! Good luck on it everybody.
