Our 16 yr old has been in treatment for almost a year. She was lyme and bart positive. Her primary symptoms were neuro/Psychiatric. Prior to her lyme diagnosis she was put on Zoloft. She had rage, depression, anxiety etc....
She had been on the same dose of Zoloft for a year and up until recently she felt it helped stabalize her mood. All of a sudden she began complaining that the Zoloft was making her feel really "out of it" and she had dizzines when she got close to scheduled time to take the Z. Once she took it the dizziness went away.
She stopped taking the Zoloft (with her psychiatrist's approval) pretty much went cold turkey, was quite dizzy for about a week, but now seems just fine. She felt the Zoloft was making her feel worse and I must admit I think I agree.
Anybody else able to go off their anti-depressants after treating their lyme?
