The acclaimed Lyme disease documentary, UNDER OUR SKIN, will be showing at the SilverDocs Film Festival in Silver Spring, Maryland, from June 17-23.
It's important to let the film documentary industry know how important this film is to us all. Success at SilverDocs will make more likely a broader distribution of Under Our Skin in theaters and cable.
SilverDocs is the top festival for documentary films, and were hoping to fill the theaters with enthusiastic audiences to show potential broadcasters the demand for this film. So please forward this message to friends and family who might want to attend. There will be a Q&A session after each viewing.
SHOW TIMES:
Tues, June 17, 1:15 PM --- AFI Silver Theater
Sat, June 21, 4:30 PM --- Discover Center
Mon, June 23, 6 PM --- AFI Silver Theater (New addition!)
Festival passes are now available and individual tickets go on sale Tues, May 27. We just heard that our film was #1 in ticket sales as of Friday, so we encourage you to purchase tickets soon. Because of popular demand, an additional screening was added Monday night.

I missed it by a month, i wished it was this month i was just in silver spring last weekend.
its a fun city, but takes a bit to navigate during rush hour. If you like breakfast food I would recommend eggspectations.
when we were there they closed off a few blocks on the main street at nite to traffic, so you could just walk...very cool.

Their website is temporarily down. I called and they are working on it and expect it to be back up soon.
I hope so because I want to get my ticket!
**************UPDATE**************
OK, I just got on the website, but couldn't find a way to purchase tickets.
So I called again and she told me to click on 2008 festival when i get to the site. It's at the top of the page. Then find the show you want to see and click on it.
Hint: there is a list of the alphabet at the top of the listings. Click on U or you may spend forever getting to the right show.
Then find Under Our Skin and click on it. There will be a listing of the showings. Click on the on you want to attend and that's how you do it. (I hope!)
Hopefully that page will be up and working again soon. At last check it wasn't.
This is really a stretch for this Lyme brain!

I just got home and got my ticket, too.
I'm going to the Tuesday afternoon showing. Figure there will be less traffic at that time of day.
Now I have to change my PT appointment for that day.

Did you purchase your tickets online? I can't seem to find where you buy them, though it says they are selling them as of today (and obviously some of you have already bought your tickets!). Is there a link from the tickets page?
Thanks! I have been waiting for this for a long time!!

docjen - if you look a few replies above, you will see it is explained by lymednva what to do when you go to the website.
You have to go to 2008 festival, to click on the U for "Under Our Skin" and then it will ask you how many tickets, etc.

I was having trouble online too, so I just bought tickets for myself and my unsuspecting family over the phone. Yay!
By the way, according to their website, the showtimes are listed a little differently than at the top of this thread:
Tuesday, June 17, 1:15 P.M.
Saturday, June 21, 4:00 P.M.
Monday, June 23, 8:00 P.M.
The guy I talked to on the phone said they were having a lot of requests for tickets.

That website was definitely NOT designed with Lymies in mind!
One reason I called so many times, but bought my ticket online was to save the processing fee. It's free to buy online, but $4 over the phone (in addition to the ticket price of $10).
