I am very proud of my son, sick with LD as are 6 total in my family.
He put my thoughts into an educational video on Youtube late tonight, I am so proud and excited, he is a great "kid" and did a great job, tremors, anxiety, brain fog and all!
EDIT: IF IT IS TOO SMALL TO READ - WHEN AT YOUTUBE NEXT TO THE VOLUME LEVEL TO THE IMMEDIATE RIGHT ARE TWO GRAY SQUARES - CLICK ON THE ONE FARTHEST TO THE RIGHT OF THE VOLUME IN THE LOWER RIGHT HAND CORNER AND IT WILL MAKE THE VIDEO FULL SCREEN AND EASIER TO READ/SEE! IF YOU CLICK ON THE GRAY SQUARE CLOSEST TO THE VOLUME IT SHRINKS IT EVEN MORE, MAKE SURE TO CLICK THE GRAY SQUARE IN THE FARTHEST LOWER RIGHT CORNER

Do I really get the honor of being the first to say that video is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT?
What a marvellous production -- I was cheering with my fist in the air for every salient point made (and they were all salient so my arm got tired really fast)!
I am so impressed and inspired. A billion props to your son, especially about including the part about other biting insects.
Well DONE.

Wow! great video! Clear and concise. Says so much in under 5 minutes. If I could figure out how to copy it to a Cd would he mind if I used it? People ask me for info and it takes me an hour to communicate what that video says in 4:44.
Just an idea : If he put these on discs and sold them for a few dollars he could raise funds for his favorite Lyme charity while he educated the public. I know advertising for personal gain is against Lymenet rules but I think fundraising is ok.
Please tell your son that his work is greatly appreciated. He did a great job and you can feel his passion for educating others.

Thanks - I am his mom, so course I think he is great...I will have him read your remarks.
Robi - you actually have give me an idea, I'd like to hand these out to mainstream Md's that misdiagnosed all of us..that be about 35 doctors.
I don't know if there is a way to put to Cd..but if so go ahead - if you could make sure to get the entire 4:44 because of the news reporter that speaks at the end, and the credits/site.

I can copy it to CD's. The key is to download realplayer. You can then click over the youtube video he posted and in the upper right corner will appear "Realplayer" downloader. You can download the video to your desktop. Then if you like, you can convert it to any filetype you like, to play on DVD, CD or whatever.

It's already been said here, but the video says in a few minutes what it took me weeks to learn about lyme disease on the internet.
I really hope many people see this video. It can't help but have an impact on them (I say this being nearly in tears right now).
good work.

WOW - SO HAPPY EVERYONE LIKES IT!! My son is 18, nearly died from LD at age 7. Then remission until 17 and has relapsed hard this time...makes my pain 100 times worse watching him go through this. I thought he had it beat.
BETTY - Already done, I added it to a link I had originally posted.
THE SONG IS FROM: CREED - ALBUM: WEATHERED NAME: DON'T STOP DANCING
He is VERY happy you like it...we fought over this, it wasn't easy, my ideas, his ideas....we pulled it together....he put it together - I see some errors, somethings I'd like to correct but once uploaded you can't change anything, I wish Youtube had a way to correct, but they don't.

Thanks you have made our day!!Really...our two brains get to work and there is no stopping us...he is reading your posts and smiling
For those of you who liked the Creed song...my idea..yep, I chose that one ..I love Creed and the song just fit perfectly. For those of you who might not have liked it, my son chose it!
CD57 - Good question...I don't know. It is possible he was born w/it...I know my mother was bitten as a child, so I was probably born w/it. But I know for sure all 3 of us started showing symptoms about 1997...we all could have had it already..then we had a horrible flea attack...I use to rescue animals. He was very sick at age 7, almost died, IV abx saved his life w/o a diagnosis. About that time I started getting migraines and vertigo...my husband started with back problems and knee problems. Thankfully, my son was in remission for 10 years...but has relapsed last year and again this year...it has been very hard for all 3 of us being sick....so hard on me to see him like this, when I have so much pain myself. I pray one of us gets well soon...either me so I can take care of him, but better yet, I hope he gets well...he needs to go to college and live his life. It stinks right now..really.
THANKS AGAIN TO ALL OF YOU!!!!!! WE ARE SO HAPPY YOU LIKED OUR VIDEO!! YIPEE!!

Awesome Lymebytes. I wish everyone could watch this video. It would be great if kids could use it as a project if they had to do a speech or something to spread the word!
I know how you feel with a sick "child" that can't go to college.... I have lyme and my daughter now 21 was diagnose at age 4..... she had to stop school recently for treatment... I hate the fact that she is missing stuff like college because of this..... I will show her your son's video... thanks again... and I hope one or all three of you get better soon!!! mtree

Yeah and I have to say extra hard for a mother to witness...having this disease myself was absolutely the worst thing...or so I thought, until he became so sick.

I wanted to give a little trick, if it is too small for some people watching...you can make the video full screen, I edited the first post, but in case you don't see it, this is how:
NOTE: IF IT IS TOO SMALL TO READ - WHEN AT YOUTUBE NEXT TO THE VOLUME LEVEL TO THE IMMEDIATE RIGHT ARE TWO GRAY SQUARES - CLICK ON THE ONE FARTHEST TO THE RIGHT OF THE VOLUME IN THE LOWER RIGHT HAND CORNER AND IT WILL MAKE THE VIDEO FULL SCREEN AND EASIER TO READ/SEE!

Thank you Daise..he's reading posts, he is smiling and happy it is getting so much attention. Already 4th today in the line up in less than a week - wow...who knew!
I hoope its helps people...I hope it reaches those with Fibro, CFS, MS and more, that is our hope.
i tried your suggestion but my pc doesn't have 2 things on right corner.
i can enlarge it to 150% which is just as bad as 100% and then increase it 10% by contrl + sign, but NOT to see FULL screen.
thanks for the pm about this; i tried!

Betty, I know what you are changing...that is on your computer in the lower right corner.
No, this is controlled at youtube the little screen has its own controls..play, pause, time/length of video, volume and then the two gray squares next to the volume ON THE VIDEO control panel right below the video (not your computer). (If you are using youtube Beta there will be one gray square to the right of the volume control) click it and it becomes full screen. If you are not using youtube beta there will be two gray squares one will shrink it, the other makes it full screen (bottom right corner of youtube video control panel) all videos have this...I didn't know about the full screen option, until my friend said, "Here, (he clicked the gray square) now we can really see it!"
No adjustments are made to your computer...just to the video - control panel right below the video.
