Hi,

I am to start Mepron/Art next week, am currently on 500 mg. zithro, amantadine, flagyl (pulsing). I looked at old Mepron threads, but want clarification.

I consulted with my LLMD just yesterday and understood her to say I will be taking 1 tsp 2x daily, but my notes indicate she said 200 mg liquid. Is this sufficient? She tends to be pretty conservative.

I know this is not a quick fix, but am sick of being sick. I have Lyme and all co-infections. I have Babesia Ducani (WA-1). I don't want her to be so careful that I get no results and/or build resistance.

She also is having me pulse the Mepron 3 weeks on, 1 week off. I appreciate your input.

I take 2 tsp. twice daily and do not pulse. I think that is considered a high dose as it seems many around here take 1 tsp. twice daily.

Whenever I'd get off babs meds (like when I had GI issues) symptoms would return within three days, so I don't really like the pulsing idea for babs.

Thanks 6goofykids for input. I have wondered if pulsing is a good idea or not...any others...did you pulse Mepron or not?

I have more brain fog than I realize. She did Rx the 750 mg, I thought it was only 200 mg and was concerned. I called the pharmacy and I was in error.

i take 1 tsp twice a day, along with clarithromycin (generic Biaxin) twice a day, and artemisinin three times a day.

I'm also on plaquenil twice a day.

2 months ago my llmd had me stop doxy, i think he thought i was doing a lot better, but it sure didn't feel that way to me!

My symptoms have worsened since then, so it's on my list of things to discuss at my next visit.

My LLMD has now found that the people doing 2 teaspoons of Mepron twice daily get better faster then the patients doing 1 teaspoon twice a day. He has babs patients doing Enula as well with it along with some antibiotics and Art.

I take 2 teaspoons of mepron daily. (750mg per 5ml).

I am pulsing it with three weeks on and one week off.

Hugs,

Geneal
