Dr Holly Phillips just aired a small segment on lyme disease here in the tristate area.
The only thing she is truly confused about in her piece is that lyme can be treated with a single dose of preventitive abx if caught early
She really needs to hear from us..

It seems to have been on a local CBS affiliate in the Northeast. I don't know if she is syndicated with her segment will airing on other stations. Sometimes these sort of things are "feeds" from the network for local stations to run if they choose.
After 36 seconds about red wine, the lyme segment began - it's about 2 minutes.
Mostly good for prevention and awareness, and she packed a lot into 2 minutes. Still, a couple points I hope they come back and correct
* Error in information: she said a tick needed to be attached for 36 hours to transmit.
* Misleading: she said, quote: ``In certain cases, a single dose of abx is given even before symptoms begin.'' end quote.
* Misleading: Paryalysis of facial muscles on list of symptoms. That's not always the case.
* No mention of coinfections. However, she did say to see a doctor.

my hands have just gone numb, so I'm toast for a while. I hope someone can reply to their station. It is so good they ran this, but the few points really need to be clarified.
