I had been doing fairly well and recently have been having extremely achey legs. Is this another lyme symptom..I'm assuming it is and if so what helped?

I have been on very low dose abx lately.

Are they just generally achey? Or is it centered mainly in joints? The latter is the main symptom I had from lyme, but I had lots of "general acheyness", too, which may have been cuased partly by babesia.
To reduce the pain I took numerous pain killers such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and even ..'celebrex' which turned out to be poisonous- at least, for me.
Also, willow bark helped a bit.

Achy legs were one of the symptoms immediately preceding my "crash" in 2004, along with achy teeth, left arm going numb, lower back pain....

Duck said it was "all in your mind, you've got anniversary crisis syndrome" (my Mom had died the year before)

It was only after started ketek that the achy legs went away, and they were achy, it wasn't joint arthritis.

But I do have joint problems to this day even after a year of abx, 8 months of Dr. Z's allicin program. Just nowhere near as bad.

Yes, achey legs. Not joint pain. This was one of my early symptoms along with achey arms esp the forearms. Doc said it was from my underactive thyroid and to give it time.

But it didn't get better, it got worse. Last spring (before abx) I had to sit down a lot because my legs hurt so much.

I've been on abx for 10 mths and there has been improvement. There is still a little achiness remaining. If it really bothers me, I take alieve which seems to help.

I definetly think it's lyme. I don't have any known co-infections so far.

Achey leggs where always one of my lyme symptoms.

Always got much worse while herxing. I used a body massager on them and this seemed to help, along with epson salt baths.

Resolved after 3 years treatemnt. ( I had been sick 20 years)

Take care and hope you feel better soon.

I get very achy legs, too. In fact, I had this problem years ago before I even knew anything about Lyme! Seems I had it back then, too. Wrapping warm towels around my legs is very soothing, as well as simply putting them up off the floor. Heating pads on low feel good.

So far, these pains have not diminished, but I've only been in treatment since last August.

Did anyone on this thread resolve the issues with leg pain, cramping and straining?

This is driving me nuts. I am afraid to do anything physical because if I over do it, I pay for it for days.

Does it ever get better with treatment? How long do most suffer with this?
