Hi guys--
As many of you know, especially for those with hypothyroidism, treating your thyroid can help with muscle aches/pains.
1)How much of your thyroid med did you have to take before you saw a "marked" difference in the muscle pain?
2)Also, did your thyroid med help with the muscle "soreness" after a day of exertion or physical activitiy? (It's like the thyorid med has given me the fuel to get around now and move my body a lot more but I feel like I'm walking around in a body that's been in an accident (very sore from exertion)(I take D-Ribose and mag)??? Any ideas????
3)Anyone thirsty on their thyroid med?
(I'm on 1 grain a day of Armour and I've noticed my pain (especially in my legs) has dissipated. I'm wondering if I bumped the dose if it would reduce it even further.)
Thanks so much!!!

I too am on Armour Thyroid but my doctor played around with dosage for quite awhile until finding the right dosage. But that was based on blood work.
I don't really recall it helping with the muscle aches and pains, but then again, I started the armour before I knew I actually had lyme and perhaps not getting that treated, still left me feeling those pains.
I know that even now, I still get my thyroid checked and they STILL play with the dosage many years later, so it seems like I'm on a roller coaster with this med.
Good luck to you and I hope you find the answers you are looking for.

Hi, My LLMD has me adding one armor pill every two weeks until I'm taking 8 a day.
So right now I'm taking 3 in the morning and two at night. It has helped me a little. I have a low body temperature normally and the med does raise my body temperature a little.
I think my pills are 30mg each..
