Sorry so many questions. My MD just ordered me a Rx of Cortef. Since it is a steroid, I'm worried about weight gain.

Because of Hypothyroidsm, I've already gained close to 10lbs since Feb. I feel sluggish and bloated already.

Most people I know that have been on any type of steroid have gained weight.

She also wrote me for Amour Thyroid (Pig Thyroid Glands). I have my issues with this one. Although I am wondering since this one helps with Metabolism , if this will cancel out the weight gain caused from the Cortef.

Anyone have any input?
