I don't know about "all over" and don't know if I've just started losing my mind more than usual, but yes, I have definitley had that sensation before, especially when I'm trying to sleep.
Not sure what it means. Is it something neurological going on inside us or are we so paranoid, we start feeling bites? I honestly don't know. Haven't had it in a few months, but do think I know what you are discussing.

I definitely think you and I are on the same page. Thanks for the timely response and hope that it will go away.

Before I started lyme treatment I felt like things were crawling under my skin and biting me all over.
Mine could have been neuropathy or possibly a Morgellans type presentation. It had just started to get out of hand when I started lyme treatment and it went away after a few months.
You might want to look into Morgellans. I don't know that this information is completely accurate since anyone can add to a wiki but it's a place to start. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morgellons

I have that sometimes, but just feels like ONE bite. Never in the same place.
I believe my mother also had Lyme and she often told me something was biting her. Never saw anything there. I knew it was the Lyme, since I had the same sensations.
Or we were both nuts!!
[ps... that wasn't her only lyme symptom!!]

I often feel like I am being stung or bitten by something, though when I slap at it or look, nothing is there.
I was told that it is a mis-firing of nerves that causes this sensation. It comes and goes.

Yes, I had it before treatment and it lasted a long time into my treatment. It eventaullay went away but would resurface occassionally.
Recently it has come back with a vengence as many of my symptoms have. Do es any one know if it is lyme, babs or bart?

Just to chime in and say, yes, I have the biting and crawling sensations too. Very weird and a little disturbing, but good to know I'm not alone!

Oh yes! A while back - about the time there was a thread about those little flat red spots? I would feel a little sting or bite and sure enough, one of those red spots just appeared in the same place.
I am definitely paranoid but I do feel that same sensation you are talking about aside from the red spots, like something is biting me.
But.....I also dream about ticks - yikes!
