Ok so today was "the" day. he was nice and thorough. He changed my med from doxy 100mg BID to amox 1000mg BID and recommended B6. He wants me on it for 6 weeks with a follow-up at 4 weeks. If symptoms persist...possibly IV. He says that the reason I only had IGG 41 and IGM 41 positive was most likely due to the fact I medicated myself with amoxil but not long enough. Doesn't feel the need to retest or test for anything at this point....probably in 4 weeks. Any feelings or thoughts, suggestions? Thanx bunches!!!

I'm glad you liked him, whoever it was!! The amoxy dosage seems rather low. Maybe he will increase it in 4-6 wks if you tolerate it well?? -------------------- --Lymetutu-- Opinions, not medical advice!

Yeah, sounds low to me, too. I was taking 2500 mg. three times daily with Probenecid to keep it in the bloodstream longer. But, he could be just seeing how you react to it. Amoxy was a tough drug for me and I had to ramp up on it. -------------------- sixgoofykids.blogspot.com
