Hello folks
I am doing a bit of informal research and am wondering how many people here... who have lyme or mycoplasma....have had problems with miscarriages or infertility? Any thoughts on the issue would be appreciated Thanks :-)

I nearly lost my daughter at 23 weeks gestation to bleeding/threat of premature labor.
Four years later I had two miscarriages in one year, both at the 3 month mark.
This was followed by a dx of infertility a few years later, which turned out to be right as the next 8 years or so, I did not get pregnant.
Got unexpectedly pregnant last year and lost it again. That's it, I'm done, but that's my story.

I have LD and Myco (just diagnosed) and had 2 miscarriages, both in the 3rd month. Both miscarriages were within 6 months of each other. (interesting to see someone else had this happen also, at the 3rd month...) I have since had two more kids (had one before the m/cs)

Anyone here have low progesterone as a result of all this? I know low progesterone can be a reason for miscarriage.

Yes. I had 2 miscarriages at the 10th week. I did have low progesterone on the 2nd one (not sure of the first). But at that stage of pregnancy, the progesterone is produced by the corpus luteum, not by the mother.
Oh, I have lyme, and I had mycoplasma at some point during this (not sure if I had the myco. when I had the miscarriages).

My wife had 3 miscarriages between the 10th and 11th week, all within a little over one year. She later had two more very early miscarriages, basically did not even know she was pregnant.
Two of the miscarriages were confirmed as Down's Syndrome. She was 40/41 at the time.

There is a yahoo group called preglyme that you should check out.
The women on the board vary from years away from trying for a baby to reporting on the birth of a child.
They also talk about the issues you mentioned.
Good luck with everything.

I started real late having children.
At age 35, I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks.
Had to be on fertility to get pregnant with daughter.
Either due to my prior miscarriage, or due to my Advanced Maternal Age (36),
I was placed on progesterone.
Carried the baby to full term, although she was breech and I had to have a C-section.
When they took her, the doc noticed that the cord was very short. Like about 1 ft. long.
Magically got pregnant without fertility meds when daughter was 9 months old.
Full term baby again on progesterone supplements.
Had my tubes tied then. Due to second baby being born with a hole in his heart (probably Lyme related),
And due to my age. I had been blessed with two beautiful babies.
I've worked with many genetically fragile babies.
Just seemed like tempting fate a 3rd time wouldn't be prudent.
Hugs,
Geneal
