I just started taking Art again. I am taking 100mgs. 2x/day and going to ramp up to full dose of 400 mgs. My body has been slammed lately so ramping up is the only way now.

I am using NutriCology veggie caps.

Is there a better form of Art or do you think this is ok?

Thanks much

Yes, Nutricology. One, twice a day. That's all I can afford! My herxes are a bit rougher.

I've read, in many places, that artem. is not enough alone.

It should have other ingredients - or other RX - with it so that two or three ingredients can act together, making it harder for resistance to develop.

The hepapro artem. is a combined formula. I don't know about others.

www.hepapro.com/list/Artemisiae.htm

Some LLMDs use this combined with other Rx; others may use it as alone as a combination formula - or rotate it over time.

Dr. Z's book details the formula and its research.

From Dr. Weil's web site:

Lyme Disease and Modern Chinese Medicine - by Qingcai Zhang, M.D. and Yale Zhang of SinoMed Research Institute.

This is a comprehensive book on the cause and treatment of Lyme disease using modern Chinese medicine . . . .

Amazon link to book and 2 reviews: http://tinyurl.com/4d36ku

or www.sinomedresearch.org - if you need assistance with this web site, contact Hepapro.

------------

[added to clarify: there are certainly other good brands (and more affordable ones). The thing to remember is that combining it with other measures makes it stronger - and most LLMDs usually combine artem. with an Rx.

For those who don't have doctors, it's important to keep in mind the combination - and rotation - approaches.]

I use Allergy Research Group Artemisinin. I get it from Vitacost. It was recommended by my LLMD.
