I suspect I have had lyme for about 2 to 2.5 years.
I have never been treated.
We need to be our own advocates -- I don't want my
primary care doc putting me on some oral that may
not work.
What should I be looking for as an initial
treatment given the length of my infection?
I am not asking for medical advice per se, just
what to avoid and what to look for.
Thanks!!!

Chronic Lyme could really be a co-infection that has not been addressed. Get a good test done eight by IGENEX, or Fry Labs.

Pennicillins and ceftin class are the best as far as I can see, unless you can plug lyme efflux pump, or use tigercycline instead. Or both of course.
