If you had a positive WB and symptoms, you have Lyme Disease.
It sounds as if your doctor is following the IDSA guidelines. The IDSA was recently brought up on anti-trust violations for those guidelines and they have to rewrite them .... so an ID doctor will not be a help with Lyme.
I would post under seeking doctors to find a Lyme Literate physician (LLMD) near you.
You are supposed to get worse on meds ... it's called a Herxheimer Reaction. If your doctor knew about Lyme he would know that. Please find another doctor!

Sorry, the way you had it posted the first time in a block in all capitals, I misread. I thought you wrote that you had a positive Western Blot.
I agree with Scott, I'd get a copy of your test results.
Also, you might want to get retested by IGeneX. All the do is Lyme testing, so you will get more accurate results.
