Seeing a pattern of herxing every 6th day for 2-3 days and then "some" relief. Does this pattern say anything?
Currently on doxy iv plus many supps.
Anything I can do to help the herx days?
Today was/is awful. I have increased water, taken more vit. B & mag.- bed most of day
-Migraine (meds didn't help) -muscle twitching -confusion -leg pain -grouchy(threatened to hit the next person that rang the door bell with a baseball bat- I'll apologize to the neighbor kids later...)
Any happy herx ideas are welcome...just please DON"T ring the doorbell when you reply

The currently accepted model explaining the infection cycle holds that the transmitting vectors are blood-sucking arthropods and the reservoir hosts are mammals.
Immediately after infection, the bacteria colonize a primary niche, the endothelial cells.
Every five days, a part of the Bartonella in the endothelial cells are released in the blood stream where they infect erythrocytes.
The bacteria then invade and replicate within a phagosomal membrane inside the erythrocytes.
Inside the erythrocytes, bacteria multiply until they reach a critical population density.
At this point, the Bartonella has simply to wait until it is taken with the erythrocytes by a blood-sucking arthropod.

sorry for the sideline-
Hey Tree- Do you know if Bart can cause head-cold Sx? Melanie is looking for something that would cause this every 10-14 days. I'm now wondering if SHE could have a "multiple strain" thing going on.

You guys never stop to amaze me with your wealth of information! with the other recent problems I have been having and now this, I'm pretty sure it is Bart.
Kinda is gross that this may be happening inside of me like clockwork...time to set a Bartbomb. Any recommendations that have worked?
I see my LLMD Monday- can the Bartbomb meds be added to my ivs?
Again, thanks for your specific information- it is very helpful
Better today but.... Muscle twitching is driving me crazy--any helpful hints????
