Wondering if there are any studies if we can use the summer heat as an adjunct to treatment.
I get really bad when it is even just a bit over 74 or humid and I know many other people here do too.
Just want to know really if I should be avoiding the heat or embracing it.
Since if it is killing the Lyme then going into the heat would be good.
Right now I just avoid it since I hate the pain and I am not sure if it is helping or hurting.

Heat kills lyme.
In fact, the spegrette cannot tolerate temps of 106 sustained for 24 hours, all forms of lyme should be comp killed, including the cyst form.
But that high a fever could kill you too.

Last year I stayed out of the heat because it just wasn't worth being so wiped out. I would try to get 10-15 min. of sunshine per day, but didn't stay in the heat any more than that.
I didn't have the same problem with infrared saunas.
This summer I'm doing fine in the heat as long as I want to be out there.

the best way to get your body temp up is a hot jacuzzi or sauna

my body seems to crave the heat. I love it when its hot. I don't seem to notice an increase in my symptoms as a result of the heat.
I do use an infrared sauna mat to help detox.
Acutally, last night i fell asleep on my nap and woke after two hours completely drenched. Today i am sooooo tired. the long sweat definitely did something

Keep something in mind though....
Think about when you are roasting a turkey. It takes a really long time (at 350 degrees!!!!) just to get the middle hot at all.
The same is true for the human body. I read somewhere you would have to sit in a sauna for over 24 hours to get every inch of your body to a temperature high enough to kill microorganisms (106 or whatever. the article was specifically referring to Lyme spirochetes I believe)
I would definitely think the sunlight and/or heat is helping you detox (both through sweat and the infared rays of the sun), but don't just think you can get hot and kill everything. Detoxing is good though, obviously.
And, it is probably killing some surface spirochetes.
I would aim for 30 min. of sun a day. It is good for your body to get natural sunlight. But, if it is uncomfortable, I wouldn't push it too much, because of what I said above about the 24 hour thing.
