You can get re-bit and have Lyme disease all over again.

However, it is most likely that your brother did not receive adequate treatment.

High enough dosage of antibiotics for a long enough time.

Please post in Medical Questions. You are apt to get more responses there.

Also please post in Seeking Doctors to find a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor (LLMD)

In your brother's area so he can get treatment from someone who specializes in Tick Borne Diseases.

Do you know how he was diagnosed?

What meds was he given and for how long?

Does he still have a copy of his Western Blot or did he have a Bulls-Eye-Rash?

Help is here for your brother.
