Discovered this interesting editorial/article, and am sharing it due to the memory and cognitive problems that people with lyme have to endure. I do think there is a lot to the whole insulin resistance thing and the other things mentioned, overall.
It is from "Alternative Therapies" magazine, a peer reviewed publication.

In California, there is a group that works in Los Angeles called Genesys which has a 90% CURE rate on "dementia" in seniors by just reducing their pharmaceutical drugs!!
They do a full medical history, reduce the dosages on drugs, and get rid of as many as they can. Many, many of the drugs given to seniors are to "treat" the side-effects caused by other drugs. So, the point is to get the person down to the most minimal number and dosages of drugs to treat their actual physical diseases.

I bet almost all these seniors are on SSRI's of some sort.
Getting rid of those is probably a large portion of reduction of negative side effects.
