I'd like the name of a good EDTA product that works and that has been followed by labs to show it has worked. Anyone? Also what did your Dr have you supplement since EDTA takes out the good stuff too.

Be VERY careful. A heavy metal elimination protocol is actually more complex than a lyme / TBD protocol and can be very damaging if not done correctly.
I had horrible experiences (increased seizures, motor skill mixup and severe weakness) with EDTA suppositories (Detoxamin).
I do much better with DMSA oral, but that was just for the challenge testing.
Cilantro and chorella have a place, too.
Neither are enough alone and any of these (especially EDTA) can mobilize the mercury to just float around and be reabsorbed by the brain.
This is a very specific protocol and just one agent can be dangerous on its own.
Liver support has to be specific during any heavy metal treatment. And a high protein, mineral, fatty acid and fluid intake is vital, according to a protocol below.
In addition to what you eat and what you take (or avoid), detox measures such a massage or (if you are so lucky) low heat infrared sauna can help tremendously.
-------
Not specific to lyme patients, but SIXTEEN excellent articles that explain a lot:
www.vrp.com - uppper right search bar - scroll down from products to articles and search for "heavy metals"
I would NOT order anything until you read further, for instructions more specific to those with lyme:
Dr. K is an expert in addressing heavy metals with lyme patients:
excerpt: " . . . More aggressive approaches, such as I.V. Glutathione, Vitamin C, DMPS, Na2EDTA and others have a place in reasonably healthy people but often worsen the condition in patients with advanced illness. . . ." (Klinghardt)
Under the section, "articles and protocols" you'll see this heading - Heavy Metal Toxicity; Articles and Links - with extensive instructions.
Brain protection is as vital as liver protection during this and Dr. K outlines that.
If you search above for GiGi's posts, she has written much on this matter and his methods.
Good luck in this.

I would suggest not to try any heavy metal detox on your own. Find an expert doctor who has done it over and over. This is not a do-it-yourself job. There is a certain order of things to be done in metal detox. The lower body has to be cleared first before you take anything in an effort to clear the brain, where often most of it is.
These different approaches need different medicines, and also differ by metals; i.e. mercury Hg l needs a different approach than Hg 2. Lead is different again. Aluminum needs a different agent.
Don't do it on your own!
And if you can find someone that can energetically test you for the right meds (ART or other testing methods), you will be way ahead.
Please read some of my old posts.
Take care.
