Okay, Dr. C. started me on Ceftin in lieu of Doxy because of the sunburn issue. We have a

pool, and I have two small children and didn't want the stress of telling them they can't swim,

etc. So yesterday, I was at my son's football game for 1 1/2 hours, and by 8:00 p.m. that

night, I was FRIED!! My face, forehead, and chest are very burnt. Anyone else have this experience???

No, I haven't had this problem.

I spent two weeks at the lake this summer while on ceftin and biaxin and didn't have any problem with being in the sun.

Were you out in the sun during the day? I've never gotten a sunburn during the evening hours.

Very strange!

I found this very strange as well. I have been out in the sun all summer. I have been on Ceftin for 6 days now...and this happened yesterday. Very odd indeed.
I also started to take Vitamin C and Vitamin D. these are the only additons at this time.

I have been on Ceftin, 1000mg daily for a year and half...Live in Sunny Florida and have never had a sunburn, from Ceftin that is.

I mow the lawn weekly on the riding mower, it takes about 2 hrs and I have no issues with a sunburn and Ceftin.

I wonder what the deal is then?? On the weekends, prior to starting Ceftin, I would

spend all day outside, with out any issues. An hour and a half...and I was fried. Makes me

wonder if there was a mix up. Doxy was on the list...but as a 'hold' for the pharmacist. I

hope they didn't get them swithced around on me.
