I keep trying it, hoping that it will fix my neck issues. But all it does is give me a weird feeling in my throat, I'm dizzy, uncoordinated, I keep running into things, I feel disconnected and "off".
I really need to go to the store but this crappy medicine is making me too dizzy to drive. When does this crap usually wear off or does it accumulate in your system?

Hi, I had the same problem with both Neurontin and Lycria. My dizziness and spaciness
increased 10 fold. Just can't take it, though the Neurontin did help my nerve pain. I think
it took about a couple of days to leave my system...though I was taking a very small dose.

Give it a few days, drink lots of water. It will leave your system soon.
Neurontin did nothing for me either, except give me the kind of side effects you're describing.

My doctor says you have to take it several months for those reactions to wear off. Then you can take it and will reap the benefits of it. You also have to take it a while before it starts to dull the pain.
I tried the Neurontin and it made me feel very depressed. Then went to Lyrica. I got tired of feeling that way, so I only take it at night now.

Yes, suthrngirl's got a good point. Neurontin does take some time to work - and the side effects are supposed to lessen with time.
Starting with a lower dose and working your way up would be the best way to go, I think.
I gave it 8 mos, way back when, and never got sufficient pain relief, just lots of side effects. I felt soooo much better after going off of it!
But I had not been diagnosed with LD yet, so was not treating the root of the problem. Another person may have a better experience than I did.
And very important: if you have been taking it for some time (I did not think so, from your post), please make sure you wean off of it, it's not a good med to stop suddenly).
