I am on several antibiotics and am worried that they might interfere with the tests. I have an appointment on 9/11 with a nurse who uses Fry Labs.
Also, has anyone ever been diagnosed with ehrlichia through Fry? I am concerned that I might have this one, even more so than bart.

I would think it would help get the bugs out more, to actually make the testing more accurate. just a thought. brian

If it's the smear, then yes. Stay off antibiotics for at least 3 weeks.

Being on antibiotics doesn't affect the Fry Labs test results

I think he likes to have a week off, but I don't think it makes much of a difference.
I had a negative test before I took abx, then a positive test after. He said abx broke through the biofilm and released what was clinging to the vessel walls.
You can always call.

Thank you for your replies. I honestly do not think I can go without abx for even a week, let alone three.
How many here had negative Fry tests?
I really cannot afford this test even once, let alone after each and every abx trial.

My daughter was one of the first to get the slide done. She was on zith/rifampin at the time. It still came up positive, and it showed she had babesia.
But, if you are only given one shot, call them and make sure. Ask to speak to Fry.
