This is my 2nd week on three new meds and I've noticed the past few days my stomach is bloated, hard and painful at times. Is this typical on abx?

Yes, yes and yes for me and other people I know. I would recommend taking some good probiotics. I have bloating so painful it radiates into my chest and neck. Its so miserable. I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks Chastain...glad to know it's not just me. Are you on anything other than probiotics for yeast?

Tutu, I'm only taking proboulardi now. I was on diflucan awhile ago. Dr. is starting me on nystatin. I've had yeast problems even before all these abx!

Best thing to do is eat no sugar and no carbs. you will see a big difference in doing that alone

I had HORRIBLE stomach discomfort for a month and half. turns out it was yeast. i started eating no carb and low sugar and in just a week and a half my stomach pain is GONE

also make sure you take plenty of probiotics. At least 100 billion a day. you can decide the amount depending on how many antibiotics your taking. if youre taking several different ones at the same time then take 300 billion cfu's a day. just to be sure.

Thanks Lymegal, Hmmmm...I don't suppose those potato chips I've been craving are a good idea then...I do limit my sugars, hardly have any sugar, but I better give up the chips...boo hoo.
I could also up my probiotics. I'm not taking near 300 billion. What type do you think is best?
