We need your help to encourage healthcare professionals to attend the annual scientific/medical Lyme conferences in San Francisco in October. This is the first year the conferences will be on the west coast and outreach is critical.

Please make sure your LLMD or any other interested healthcare professional has this information right away. One good way to approach it is to download the CALDA grant application from the CALDA website http://www.lymedisease.org/calda/educational_grants.html and email it, fax it, or USPS mail it to healthcare providers along with copies of the LDA and ILADS conference fliers.

Consider creating a fax list on your computer of local healthcare providers and clinics. Look them up in your yellow pages, call and ask for their fax numbers. Once you have created such a list, you can use it any time to fax Lyme information to them and raise awareness locally.

Call your local medical society or hospital medical education department to see if they will distribute this information and then send it to them.

GRANTS
CALDA will reimburse up to $800.00 out-of-pocket expenses for any actively practicing MD, DO, ND, NP or PA in any state to attend the LDA and ILADS annual conferences.

CALDA grants are limited and are only available to qualifying professionals attending the conferences for the first time. Preference will be given to persons currently engaged in treating tick-borne infections and who plan to attend both conferences.

CALDA

up
please let me know if you are doing this!
The grant money has been set aside, it would be too bad not to spend it!

I sending you a pm because from emailing with you before you know my family MD better than I do and I am hoping you could approach him. I only have seen him once and do not feel he would listen to me. I do live in Tickville USA and I would love it if one of the doctors from this town would go.

I wrote a column for our local paper before asking for one of our doctors to utilize CALDA's offer of studying with a LLMD and the only person I heard back from was a rancher with LD.

I've been in ongoing conversation with two healthcare pros. Both have expressed interest and are reviewing the details. I will stay on top of it and let you know.

Angelica, if you find out their office email you can easily send them a packet. I'd offer but am so behind in my work.
