Juicers are not expensive. A really great drink is a 1/2 fresh beet, two or three whole carrots and a couple apples.
Keep the vegies and apples in the fidge so your drink will be cold and you can adjust the drink to your liking - I like a little extra apple.
It will give you energy, it's refreshing and it's good for you!
If you invest in the "Juiceman", there is a book with recipes.
We have a place called "Juice Stop" that makes this drink. I've copied their drink blends at home.

Hi Randi
The thing about Any type of juice is that the veggies or fruit used is not very good and has Mold in it -
The Mold will make you Very sick-
If you can get a juicer- -- Champion --juicers are Very Good Easy to clean- (seconds) and also produce More juice than cheap juicers- look on Ebay-Jay-

I have one of the older model Juiceman juicers, that I purchased several years ago in college. It was one of the best at the time for it's design, blade and speed. It does a great job separating the juice and fiber. It's been replaced by at least one new model that's even better than the last. I really enjoy mine. Carrot juice is amazing!
The only thing I don't like is cleaning the juicer. If you let it sit and stuff dries on it -it's a pain to clean. I found this out when I'd juice something before I left for classes all day. I'd juice and run out the door and leave the machine - stuff was hard to clean off that night. As long as you rinse the pieces after juicing you'll be fine.
If you are patient, you just may find a good deal on ebay.

Odwalla drinks are very high in sugar content too, even higher than V-8.
Some Odwalla flavors are actually sweetened with evaporated cane juice or similar, but even the ones without sugar contain concentrated fruit juice sweeteners. They are usually 20-30 grams of sugar per serving.
They taste good, of course, but when I've had them, I pour just an ounce or two into a smoothie or something like that.
