My head is aching right now from the pressure in my head.

It feels like really bad congestion without the congestion! My ears even feel slightly plugged.

The pressure makes my face go numb for a while, and it feels like the top of my head is numb.

It happened when I was on doxy, which seems like it is a very common effect.

I am no longer on doxy though!

I am currently on omnicef, zithromax, and lariam. I also take enula.

Any ideas? [bonk] (This helps pressure, right?)

Lea,

I have had head pressure everyday for 10 months. The things that bring relief for me are:

A tube sock filled with rice, heated and tied around my head.

klonopin

thats it, nothing else so far has touched it.

good Luck,
Feelfit

I pretty much have this symptom every day. It comes and goes and changes in severity though. I get it mostly in my forehead and front of face.

Not much helps except xanax helps some.

Sorry that your deal with this. It definately sucks.

Mine isn't constant. It will stay for a while and then mysteriously disappears for a while.

I hate it!

I had this really bad and exactly how you describe. It's a lot better after treating for several months.

I still get a mild case of it but nowhere near what it was.

I'm guessing you're having a herx rather than it being due to a specific drug because I had this before treating and before getting diagnosed.

Did you have this before starting treatment?

Lyme can cause encephalitis. Encephalitis can cause a feeling of head pressure. Talk to your doctor about it and see if you can get something for it.

Detox, detox, detox. Die-off causes tissue swelling. The more you get those toxins out, the less swelling.

Laura,

Now that you mention it, I did have this before treatment. Hopefully it goes away with treatment.

I have been trying to detox as well.
