I posted this in response to your question at this other current link.

It's not so much that other tests will give a false positive for a borrelia western blot, as OTHER INFECTIONS are often also a consideration in your diagnosis and symptoms.
Knowing, as much as possible, all the coinfections to consider/treat will help in the treatment for lyme.
Still, a LLMD should know best how to proceed. We cannot possibly figure this out but, hopefully, help can come from a doctor who has seen hundreds, or thousands of patients with similar presentations.
Some doctors see test results that say "past infection" or "no active infection" but others see that may really mean "chronic, persistent" infection.
You need a doctor who really knows how to correctly distinguish the test results, considering your symptoms and the current research. You need a doctor who can prioritize - and find treatments that may be double-hitters to cover several things at once, if possible.
And, after that little speech, I can only assume you might feel very disheartened.
Having had all those tests, you must have had a pretty good doctor as most doctors have never even heard of those tests.
Do you still have a good doctor ?
I would assume you don't or you would not be asking these questions - a good doctor would have answered your questions.
