Hi all,

I've been taking chlorophyll to keep the strong garlic smell to a minimum (I'm taking Zhang's allicin), and I find that I really need to take it three times a day rather than twice a day as recommended on the bottle.

Does anyone know anything about it and whether it's safe to take more than mentioned on the bottle?

Thanks,

tickbattler

The chlorophyll supplement that I'm taking says"

Caution: Reduce the dosage if cramps or diarrhea occur. If symptoms persist stop use and consult a healthcare professional.

The dosage recommendation is 2 caps 1-2 times daily. It states that, if odor is not controlled, an additional 2 capsules may be taken, but do not exceed 6 capsules per day.

2 capsules = 100 mg Chlorophyllin copper complex.
(it says that it's a concentrated chlorophyll complex from premium alfalfa leaves)

I don't know if any of that info is helpful. I'm guessing that too much might give you cramps/diarrhea.

I also notice that the type I'm using contains copper & I believe copper and Zinc need to be balanced properly in dietary intake. I think one can deplete the other.

[confused]

Are you taking the pill form or the liquid??

If you're taking the pill form, try the liquid. I'm sure it's much more effective and you could use less.

I currently am using a new product [health food stores] called ChlorOxygen.

It comes in a tiny bottle with a dropper. No alcohol in it.

I use about 8-10 drops a day....but I'm not taking garlic. You may need more.

I don't think you can get too much of it...but AliG has some good tips there.
