Has anyone else been having trouble with the new 6o-size pills of Armour?
My reactions have been pretty serious and were never experienced on the 30s at the same dose. I've cut way down.
Let me know because I'm really worried for other people. I have no idea what has changed in the pills.

What has changed in the pills in the mg's. So of course it's going to make you have all sorts of problems that the 30 mg's didn't. Like getting too much thyroid hormone and become hyperthyroid.
You'll be fine. Maybe if you'd contact your doctor about how there is no more 30 and only 60 available now.

Disturbed. You mean two 30s are not the same as one 60???
In Reader's Digest last night I was reading a blurb that talked about generic drugs and how even a slight increase in blood thinners or thyroid medications could be serious.
It's really been serious for me!
I'll be talking to the pharmacist today and will let you know what I find out.

mjo - I didn't know you were taking TWO 30's before you started the 60's.
Well, I have heard that in Armour, it comes from natural sources (pig thyroid) and so each pill actually differs slightly in amount of TSH/t4/t3. Maybe that is what is causing some of the heart palps/hyperthyroid symptoms.
Have you called your LLMD about this - to tell him/her that they only have 60 now and not 30 and that it's been very hard on you?
