Have any of you had a severe reaction
(sore throat, sweats, dizzy, brain fog) to new construction or to copy shops, or scrapbook stores?

I have a brand new condo I can't live in bc since I got lyme I get an awful reaction to my home. I can't be there for more than 5 mins bf it starts and I have to run out. The same thing happens in the crapbook store, my throat starts to swell and I have to get out fast. It will go away if I take benedryl, but its pretty severe and fast.

Will this go away when my lyme is under control?
Have any of you had a similar reaction to these things? I think the common component is formaldahyde. It is used in OSB board and in paper products.

Please let me know if you have had this problem and if you found a way to stop the reaction.
Or, if you stopped having this reaction once the spirochetes are gone.
Thanks. Jenny

Hey Jenny,

That sounds awful! I'm really sorry that you're going through that.

It sounds Like MCS (multiple chemical sensitivity)

I am much more sensetive to things than I used to be, and I think most Lymies are, but when you have such an extreme reaction it definately sounds like MCS.

I know there are a few here who have MCS, and I do think it gets better with treatment, but I don't think it ever completely goes away.

Hopefully others will be along shortly with more info....

Lauren

You sound identical to what I WAS like.

And yes...it goes away with time.

Start the detox NOW...also, can you get a 24 urine panel on hormones done?

When I got my hormones (Adrenals) under control...it REALLY helped.

Also...beleive it or not.....cat's claw....really seemed to help to. I think because of the way it helps regulate the immune system.

If you need some personal tips and more help....PM me and then we'll set up some e-mails and phones calls...OK?

PS....I alm ost took my own life due to the Multiple Chemical Sensitivities...it got that bad. But......I just accepted that I would beat it...and I did..so can you. Get some Cholestyramine/Actos....ASAP.
