Hi, Two years ago, about 2 months after the birth of my daughter my heart would made a huge thud and just race. I went to a routine physical and didn't mention it (it had happened maybe 5 times in 2 month, mostly when I bent over and came back up quickly).
The PA told me that he thought I had an irregular heartrate (which no one had ever told me before and I have listened to my heart many times as I'm an RN and have a stethoscope).
I just brushed it off because besides some anxiety and fatigue I wasn't overly symptomatic with Lyme. Then a year later a doc told me he thought I had Lyme Disease and here I am. I went to a LLMD 2 weeks ago and he told me that my heart rate had some irregular beats, but not the harmful kind.
Last night I asked my good friend and midwife for my third child to listen to my heart (we are packed up and have no idea where my stethoscope is).
My heart will beat double sometimes. Like lub dub lub dub lub dub lub lub (really close together). I was a NICU nurse, not a cardiac nurse and not sure if this could just be stress related.
It generally happens only with inspiration, but not every time I breathe in. there is no rhyme or reason to it.
anyone else have this? After learning about Lyme and realizing that it can cause cardiac issues, I'm somewhat frightened.
