Ip, Yes, I had a black tongue. The hypoglossus nerve innervates the tongue and brings downward the toxins from brain/brainstem. I was told the black is made up of the dental toxins from my root canaled teeth that I used to have at that time and the heavy metals that were exiting from the brain and brain stem. The toxins (some of them) move up that way and also comes down that way. It looks scary - but I was happy it was coming down. And I firmly believe that where there are dental toxins, metals, there is also fungi and mold. One never comes without one or more of the others. What goes up must come down.
You may want to scrape your tongue every morning and as soon as you see some of the deposits. And you can also do the Karach Therapy = some people call it Oil Pulling. Search here - you will find the info. It is of great help eliminating toxins from the mouth. Some 200 different bacteria are being found in the mouth, especially in the morning. Clear it out then, at that time, then you will not need to face the same ones again and again and lighten the load by a lot!
My husband, who suffers from Aspergillus, has a tongue that looks like a landscape - up and down valleys, with lines running through, and mixed in light landscape colors, and also thick as in swollen. A healthy tongue is smooth and pink. If it is not, go on the defensive with the oil.
So have a look at your dental situation. But who knows?
Take care.
P.S. I would follow the directions on the container of the probiotics you are taking. Different ones are manufactured in certain ways so as to be effective as recommended. I used to protect myself with Freezedried Garlic and seldom took probiotics. And that type of garlic should be taken following a meal. Garlic is most beneficial as an antifungal, antiviral, antibacterial. In fact, I believe that the garlic wiped out the majority of Lyme I used to have. Good luck.
