After a year of high doses of mepron/zith and malarone 3 x 2 times a day I am still testing positive for this freaken bug. I am still sweating like a mad man, have problems controlling my body temperature. I get hot sooner than anyone else, and get cold sooner than anyone else. Unless I am at the exact right temp I feel like crap. Headaches, and malaise of course.
Why won't this thing leave me alone. Damnit.
Anyone have any success at getting rid of this?
How long did it take, what was the protocol?

Have you added in Artemisinin or Artemisiae at all?
My LLMD had told me that Dr.Zhang had recommended Copmine for more resisitant Babs.
I have also just recently read of LLMDs using combos of Clindamycin, Zith, Mepron and other different combos for the more resistant strains.
I believe that Dr.Schaller covers some different LLMD's Tx approaches in his "Health Care Professional's Guide to The Treatment and Diagnosis of Human Babesiosis"

When I saw Dr. J 2 weeks ago, he said that babesia duncani does not respond to Mepron. He uses artimisinin to treat children who have that.
