I started back on abx (doryx) 2 weeks ago after a 6 month break.
I've noticed a decrease in my total body itching and irritation. Though i still can't wear jewlery and certain clothes bother me.
fatigue is better.
headaches a little less frequent but killer. feels like my brain stem is swollen. When they get bad the neuro tics start. I was at the phillies game on friday (!) and had a series of uncontrollable tics that caused my husband to get a bit nervous. When over I broke out in a heavy sweat. I was ok the rest of the night.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Also, my body temperature gets so low. Down in the 95's. at work i wear scarf, gloves and coat until about lunch time. You should try and see me trying to make dinner in a winter coat and gloves-not easy!
My thyroid is good (taking t3), cortisol levels are ok. so whats with the temperature? Its getting pretty annoying and embarrassing!
I want to look for some kind of layer to wear under my clothes that will be discreet and keep me warm. Anyone try underarmor clothes?
thanks

oh, i forgot about the holding my breath part. I find myself holding my breath and having to remind myself to breath. Its different than the air hunger i've experienced. Could it be related to babs as well?

I have all the same stuff, including the neuro itching and burning pain all over, and the temperature stuff and tics, with feelings of swelling in neck and lower back of head.
I would suggest seeing a chiropractor. These are all signs of pressure on your brain stem, probably from some muscles spasms or swelling. (Again, I have this too.)
Does massaging your neck give you any of these sensations? (I have even had my teeth chatter) I find that applying Ben Gay to my neck can sometimes help.
DO you feel like your eyes are jiggling in these episodes, do you get dizzy or nauseous?
You could also have your spine checked out, with MRI. Don't know how old you are, but spinal problems can contribute, and some of these problems are even "normal" for certain ages.
Female hormones can also affect temperature. Again, don't know how old you are.
Good luck. Finding a doctor who pays attention to this and who has any understanding can be tough.
