Hi All-

I am now 5 weeks into Babs treatment-

I have been taking Primaquine - One Pill a day-

I hope I am not Jinxing - myself but I have to
say I feel Really Great -

My Babs symptoms have been ZERO -

I did have a slight amount of wacky heart beat
on my usual 28 day schedule but barely noticeable-

I have Not taken any mepron in a last month-
and only a few bactrim mostly to
just to set my mind at ease --

The Primaquine is what is used to cure Malaria-
It is used with Chloroquine at the beginning of treatment -- 10 days -

Primaquine is VERY Cheap - Cost $1 a day-

Primaquine comes in bottles of 100 -(Only)
so if you try this have your doc write the script
for the Full 100 pills- you are going to have to pay for them ether way so you might as well
get what you payed for--

26.3mg is the ONLY size Primaquine comes in

I got some from Walgreens and they charged me Full price of 100 pills and I got a total of 30-
Dont let them screw you like they did me-

The Chloroquine comes in bottles of 25(Only) and
cost about $100 but you only take them for
10 days --

This is my Second round of this treatment-
the first round I did about 8 months ago-
The treatment seemed to work Great but the herx
was BY Far the Worst I have ever gone threw-

This is Not a treatment for Anyone that
can not take pain and crazy things happening
ALL at Once to your Body--

In other words you have to be a Tuff SOB -
Seriously -

I did this treatment a second time because I got
bit and reinfected with babs again about 6
months ago- I HATE ticks -

The second treatment the Herx was NOT Even close
to as bad as the first time that I did the treatment -- was not bad at all-

I felt bad for about a week - then just felt better each day so far --

I will keep you filled in on my progress-

For futher info on this treatment Google-

- WHO Primaquine Chloroquine Malaria Treatment -

Take care--Jay--

Maybe they will find that babesia is *really* bad OR maybe they will discover that these babesia "treatments" actually kill lyme.

I thought you had beaten this bad bug! [Frown]

Glad to hear you are doing well on this protocol.

I am going into my 9th month of mepron/biaxin and had

Drenching night sweats last night. Great.

I am always interested in a different approach.

Keep us posted.

Hugs,

Geneal

Groovy,

Did you have horrible, drowsy fatigue as part of your babesia? Like where you just want to lay on the couch and sleep? Too tired to do things/no energy?

Thanks and glad this is helping you so much!!!! [Smile]

The pharmacy screwed up my script on my babesia med too. I only got 30 pills (Malarone) instead of 90. Maybe it's because they aren't used to such large prescriptions since most people are using just a few doses to prevent malaria.

Hi ALL

Hoosier-
Yep Babs will sap ALL of your energy-
people can have slightly different symptoms
with Babs just like happens with Lyme--

A couple of the Babs symptoms that tend
to stand out from Lyme symptoms are--
Drenching Night Sweats -Crazy Heart Beat-
Low Body Temp- Brown colored pee -
Insomnia-

Im sure Im forgetting a few of the stand out
symptoms - Im out of town right now and
things are a little hectic at the moment-

Geneal--
Yep I had beat the Babs Monster but I got
bit again and REinfected about 6 monthsago--

God I hate Ticks--
I was very sick for 4 months and now am feeling
Perty Good again --

I am ending my 6th week of the Primaquine treatment and I Feel- Fabulous - and have ZERO
babs symptoms--

I am taking a low dose of Bactrim just to be safe - No since giving the bugs ANY Chance--Jay--
