I've had Lyme's for 2 years and just diagnosed mid July 2008, was on Doxy for 6 weeks in July and now on Rocephin past 6 weeks, since early September. Spinal tap showed it was in my spine and brain.
My weight is fairly good and I exercise a lot. My blood pressure has always been normal, 115-130/68-78 for many years, since I've been taken Doxy and Rocephin, my blood pressure has been between 132-155/72-85 and mostly towards 150/80-85 during treatment except for the past couple of weeks it's been a little lower.
I have a nurse visit me once a week to change my PICC line in my arm and take blood. The blood results come back with a non fasting glucose level between 45-85, This week 61, last week 85, week before 45, week before 65, week before 81. Up to this time my fasting or non fasting glucose level has always been between 90-102.
Does Doxy & Rocephin cause a drop in glucose levels? Why is it low now?
