To All.....
I currently am suffering from Chronic Lyme And Bart...
can anyone suggest tests for Intestinal Parasites???
I want to be tested for all of them..... I have been tested for all the major coinfections, but would like to be tested for the ones that doctors sometimes miss.... any suggestions????
please tell me the name of the parasites if replying.... thanks again!

Testing for intestinal parasites is not very accurate.
There may be other tests at the above labs that would be useful.
Hopefully others will come by with more testing options for you.
Fry labs may also be helpful for co-infections.

If you go with Diagnos-Techs, get the Expanded GI Panel.

Diagnos-Techs said I had tapeworm through IgG and equivocal roundworm. I have NO idea how. My Infectious Disease and PCP thought little of their testing. I don't know what to believe as usual. I had the Expanded GI panel done 5 months ago.
I also had a very high reading for something called Alpha-Anti-Chymotrypsin.

There are many ways to come in contact with tapeworm. Do you eat meat? Under-cooked meat would do it.
My Diagnos-Techs test found bacterial dysbiosis (e.coli, klebsiella, citrobacter, and more), yeast, an amoeba overgrowth, and yes, a tapeworm. Ugh.
So far, we've only addressed the bacterial dysbiosis and it's made a huge difference in how I feel.

Would a tapeworm be obvious when a colonospy is performed? I am scheduled for my first ever colonospy ever and am concerned about the possibility of parasites.

Pigwit, I recently had my first colonscopy as well without meds of any kind and it was very easy. If you have a parasite, it may not show up in the colon...I believe parasites may often dwell in the small intestine which is not examined during a colonscopy.....
