Anyone know why I get so hungry after dinner? I have a good dinner, no matter what it is, I am fridge surfing right after dinner.

I am trying weight watchers and doing ok, until night. Then I start gnawing on my arm.... [bonk]

Evening hunger can be due to hypoglycemia. Do you have a glucose tester?

If it is due to hypoglycemia, usually it means that you should be more careful with your food choices earlier in the day, so that you don't cause any spikes.

I don't remember your story, but I'm guessing you're still on abx and I'm guessing that you're pretty careful with your diet. In that case I would guess it's not hypoglycemia.

Certain abx can cause excessive hunger. I think I have that problem, and sometimes in the evening it's the worst. Even right after eating! For example, last night I had too many green beans and my stomach was full, but right afterwards I wanted to eat a bunch of nuts. I forced myself to skip out on the nuts, saying that my tummy is already full, and anything more will interfere with my sleep.

I'm not sure about weight watchers, but you might want to see if other people have "side effects" from it. Maybe other people on that program have evening hunger.

And last point: If your hunger is specifically for carbs, it might be that the Candida inside you is hungry. They release toxins that modify our hormones so that we think we're hungry for carbs.

Skipping breakfast, or not having enough calories earlier in the day, can cause hunger in the evening.

Medications can cause hunger.

Candida/Yeast imbalance can cause cravings (esp. for sugar/carbs).

B-Complex Vitamin Deficiency can cause sugar cravings.

Some find they need to have a high-protein snack every 2 hours between meals (including in the evening after dinner) to keep blood sugar levels stable. Doesn't have to be a lot, just enough to nibble...like a few almonds, or nut-butter on a piece of celery, or a few bites of leftover meat, etc.

Not eating enough good fats can make you feel hungry also.
