Should be every 6 months if you don't have periodontal disease. Every 3 months if you do.

Every six months. A dentist once told me if you have healthy teeth and are not a tartar build up person every 9 months is ok.

I would definitely not go more than a year. Then you can really start to get into problems.

$85 is much cheaper than dealing with a big problem 2 years later.

Plus the meds we are on can effect enamel, etc. Good to take a peek in there.

Every six months is best but if you are really strapped and your teeth are OK you can probably stretch to a year. I think cleaning is a very effective way to prevent serious problems that can be painful and expensive.

Are there any dental hygenist schools around you?

We have one that only charges $25.00. My insurance covers mine, but thought that might be an idea.

Once a year...cleaning, inspection, bite wing pics.

My dds said its not worth me coming in every 6 mos given how clean they are. I brush, floss, ACT rinse daily, and any cavaties I had were mostly when I was young (ah the days of eating whole packs of gum or candy..)
