Since my wife has become sick with Lyme she is now super sensitive to anything she puts on her skin. She has to really watch what kind of make up and lotions she uses now or she will have a reaction.

Worst of all is that she has now tested allergic to Chlorine. Come in contact with it and her skin reacts and gets very itchy. Now when we travel anywhere we have to take chlorine filters with us to put on the shower.

Has anyone else noticed any increased sensitivities since you have had Lyme?

Thanks!

Here for my wife who was diagnosed with Lyme in the Fall of 2007. Diagnosed after numerous visits to the dr and a Igenex positive test for chronic Lyme.

What helps me:

A water filter for drinking water and A shower filter to help the skin. Going scent free will help take stress off the body. Avoiding petroleum in everything, too, helps the endocrine system.

I've had to stop all cosmetics but Rachel's Friends is a group about safe cosmetics. you can google for the link.

The only lotion that works for me is "baby Avalon Organics - weightless nourishing baby lotion." It is unscented and contains no petroleum products.

She should know, though, that not all unscented products are perfume or scent-free. It's very confusing.

In the meantime, organic coconut oil may be nice to try on a small area first. It's a great face moisturizer.
