and may I say I now know what a herx feels like. All of the symptoms that I was having even after the 2 mons on doxy have hit me 10-fold.

The neck and head pressure is unbearable. The irritability and anger (downright p***ed off about everything) are out of control.

Now even my ears feel pressure. Yesterday was the worst. Today is a bit more bearable.

It took everything for me to get through the day at work (I am a pre-school teacher)

I am however looking at the positive side...

I know if I am herxing then I am being treated properly for the right infection.

I have also lost 3 pounds since Monday with no carbs or sugar. Oh boy do I miss them though!

Later in the day now the pain is subsiding...just the sharp stabbing pains behind the eyes.

I am feeling happy for the first time in way too long. Not just because I am being treated correctly , but the fog seems to be lifting, albeit very slowly.

My bartonella is currently being treating with a Rifampin/isoniazid combo among others.

I also herxed immediately on it and the rage/change in behaviour lasted a little over two weeks with each week improving from there. Boy was it a doozy... [dizzy]
