First, thank you for this forum. I was diagnosed about 4 months ago, but was bitten probably 20+ years ago.
I am seeing Dr. H, and tested positive for Lyme, babesia, and bartonella. I am treating them all with a myriad of antibiotics, herbs, probiotics, and alternative treatments.
I just finished 40 hyperbaric treatments 2 weeks ago along with 2gm IV Rocephin through a PICC line for 6 weeks.
I woke up today feeling like I had the flu- different than my normal "herxing" lyme symptoms. Feels very flu-ish and my temp shot up to 102.
I'm not vomiting, but am just drinking liquids and juicing green juice today. Should I hold off on my meds for lyme or keep taking them?
Never sure what symptom is what anymore. Is it the lyme or the flu on top of it all? I live in San Francisco, and it is going around right now.
Any advice on how to treat would be greatly appreciated.

If you still have your picc line in you need to be concerned about an infection in your line when your temps gets above 101.
Just a consideration that you might want to think about. They can get a cluture from your line to determine if that is what is making you sick. A central line infection is nothing you wanna mess around with.

Hi, sorry that you're feeling so ill.
As you know, influenza is a respiratory illness, causing severe headache, body aches, and fever. You will likely have a dry cough, which can be uncontrollable.
Now is the time to take the antivirals you may have on hand. I laid in a supply of Sambucol, just for this.
When I had influenza, there were times I could not get out of bed. I took tylenol for the fever, and when it would go down I made up an icepack for the severe one sided headache. I get migraines, but this was intense.
The cough was so uncontrollable that I injured my vocal cords, and I was so hoarse that I couldn't speak for several days.
The weakness and fatigue lasted for a month, the cough for six weeks. Also, after this bout, I bought a "salt inhaler" for the lung involvement.
When your temperature is high, the enzymes in the gut cannot digest food, so eat very lightly. You know the drill...rest alot and force fluids.

p.s. Also wanted to add, you can take supplements that will strengthen the immune system, such as AHCC, Epicor, transfer factor, cat's claw.

For the last 2 years I have gotten the flu with a cough that lasted for 3 months.
I didn't know I had Lyme yet- just thought I was a sickly person. I'm sure you can all relate.
The PICC line is out thankfully. So no worries about that.
Should I continue on my antibiotics? I am on
Doxycycline
Tindamax
Mepron
Azithromycin
Acyclovir - I'll stay on this one for sure
Bartonella- Dr. T's herbals
Rizol My
Xymogen-IGG
Flucanozole once every 4 days (skip Zithromax that day)
Probiotics: Fortefy, Megadophilus and Ultraflora
I switch around the probiotics from day to day
Xanax for sleep- I try not to take this everyday

I had the flu last year and it was so bad I relapsed so severerly in all my infections. I got the flu shot this year and I took the risk because of how horirlbe the expereince was.. I have my fingers crossed.. Why did you not do the same after 3 years of the same problem??

I got the flu shot until this year and I still got
sick, and the flu shot itself always made me sick
as well.
...so I didn't do it this year.
Dr. H called back and told me to hold off on my meds for a couple of days.
My fever is down right now. I am drinking tons of
fluids, took a cool shower and extra strength tylenol.
Hoping for the best.
