is this happening to anyone?

16 months ago, the first weird symptom I noticed was surface numbness on the middle 2 fingers of my left hand.

It gradually spread to all fingers, then the right hand fingers (not thumbs).

Then a little in the thumbs.

Roughly Spring and Summer 2008 it stabilized there, actually improving in the right hand.... esp. when I was calm, cool, not stressed. The left (where it all started) contunued to be worse. At this time, I was on doxycicline, soon to intro Biaxin.

Then mid- September, it all went downhill fast. The numbness increased a lot in both hands, finger tips, fingers, palms.....spread to arms, up to armpits.

Mid-September is when I increased my Doxy and Biaxin dosages and added Flagyl. Thought it was a herx, but it's been almost 3 months and it's still the same, maybe worse.

By mid-October, the numbness started to appear on the top part of my hand (before this, it was always the palm side).

Here we are, December, and it's as worse as it's ever been...palm and top sides, all fingers/thumbs (except the left thumb- weird), up my arms (mostly the underside), and occassionally I feel it in a small section between my shoulder blades.

It's always been a surface numbness, like just the top layer of skin. If I get pricked by a pin, I can feel it, but I can't feel the keys on the keyboard, the cat's fur, the roller on the mouse pad, my earrings when I try to put them in, slippery soap in the shower.....

And, extreme temps are no good.....hot shower makes it worse, prunes my finger tips in seconds.
And cold weather makes them cold as stone, hard time using them for a long time after being cold.

I have had this to the point my whole head went completely numb. With tx it went away. I still have it on an off in my hands and legs.

These infections are sitting in the small intestines where there are a lot of nerves.

I have done colonics and enemas to get rid of the dieoff and it helps with the numbness.

Getting rid of toxins is important,

Gael

I also have this problem, and it was the first symptom I had that lead me on the long, long road to a diagnosis.

With treatment, it has improved. However, when I have to take periodic breaks due to toxicity, it is the first symtom to return. Makes me wonder if I'll have to be in treatment for years. I'm going into my 4th year of treatment now. [Frown]

i've had this in my pinky finger on my left hand for 2 yrs, there is almost no feeling at all. its a dull pain constantly but i can smash it and dont feel anything. since i have started treatment it has moved into the next two fingers and at the same time i have an itch on my back, right below each shoulder blade that will not quit. i also get a terrible burning in my ears.

now i have a mark on the back of my head that i believe is the bite mark fronm the tick and i cannot get a dr. to look at it, 5 dr.s say its nothing but they never look. when i scratch it the itch on my back goes crazy and i can feel tingling in my fingers, it drives me crazy.
